Many kingdom-minded Believers partnered to help send Hannah across the sea to a country called Malawi where she came to know what true need and real suffering looks like. Hannah began to have a burning desire for long term missions. She thought God was talking about foreign missions, but God was actually preparing her and her husband, Rich, for a demanding ministry right at home.
After returning home, Hannah went to a revival service where God had a divine appointment set up that would change the lives of many. After the service, the spirit fell on Hannah and she couldn’t help but fall at the feet of God’s Princess. The next thing Hannah can remember is holding princess and singing Jesus Loves Me to her. Soon after this Rich and Hannah went to visit Princess at her home and before they knew it, Princess and her two daughters became like family. They poured into them and introduced them to the love of Jesus though prayer, worship, and teaching of the Word of God. During this both Rich and Hannah kept having dreams of Lazarus, the friend of Jesus. As the Lord was telling them of his heart for the people and how He wants them all to be His resurrected and unbound friends, Hannah heard a direct tasking from the Lord. The voice of the Lord said, “buy two hundred hotdogs and feed my sheep.” After purchasing the food for the meal, God called forth a man to pay, in full, the cost of the food.
Standing outside, in a poverty-stricken town, the voice of the Lord came to Hannah again saying, “this is your Africa.”
They took these instructions seriously and fully invested in the community for the next two years. They saw salvations, deliverances, marriages, as many received love for the first time. They met people in the US who had never heard of Jesus Christ, and they saw the chains of addiction fall off people. They were and still are celebrating what the Lord is doing in that small town that God so loves.
God has since removed them from their first area of ministry and has led them back to their home, giving us a ministry to provide temporary housing for women and children in crisis. They have been able to invest in many over the past year after being led back home.
The work is hard, and their only hope is that for the short time these people are with them, God can use every seed planted and watered to cultivate His beauty in the lives of the friends He sends. They give those dead and bound to things of darkness a way out through Jesus Christ. They work to remove the things that hold others bound so they take their place in the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
