John is a 26 year old who is Congolese by nationality. He was born in DR Congo, in the Orientation Province in the village of Bogoro. He was born into a family of nine and is currently living with five of his siblings, two cousins and a niece in the Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi.
When he was very young, both his parents were killed in the tribal conflict in Congo. The people who killed his father and mother were looking for the way to kill all their children as well. They came back and took some of his big brothers and raped his sisters. The next morning all of the children started to run away from that village and when they learned they were still looking for them to kill them, they decided they had to run away from their country as well. So they walked from Congo to Burundi, and from Burundi to Tanzania and from Tanzania to Malawi where they found themselves in the Malawi, DZALEKA refugee camp. John felt hopeless and thought his life was over. However, after three months in The Refugee Camp, He received Jesus Christ as the Lord and the savior of his Life.
John wanted to go to the university one day, but had no parents who could send him, however he kept on trusting God and praying to God. In 2017 he met the man of God, Bruce Seigmund and talked to him for the first time about his life and his story. Bruce prayed for John and encouraged him that God is with him. He also encouraged John to apply to go to African Bible College to study. John is currently in his second year at ABC. Bruce also told John that he is his father and that John is not alone anymore. John glorified God and thanked him because he knows that God truly is the Father of Orphans.
John has been used by God to encourage others during his first year in school. He heard the voice of the spirit of God tell him that he needed to be praying for Orphans and widows and that is why John started a ministry in the Dzaleka Refugee Camp that supports children orphans by providing them with a school. John truly is blessed to live for others.
